Tom "Flash" Gordon exploded on the scene as a starter with the Kansas City Royals posting double digit wins in 5 seasons. Following his time in Kansas City Gordon reinvented himself as a closer and then relief specialist with several organizations including the Boston Red Sox with whom he was named Fireman of the Year. Gordon was named to 3 All-Star teams and finished his career as the only pitcher in MLB to record 100+ Wins, !00+ Saves, and 100+ Holds. This glove was issued to Gordon and his name is embroidered on the side to indicate so. The outer finger of the glove once bore what looks like a short inscription and autograph that has now faded away. Although never used in a game still a great piece of memorabilia from this flame thrower!!!
