Mel Harder spent his entire playing career with the Cleveland Indians taking the mound for the Tribe from 1928-47. Harder earned 4 All-Star nominations during his playing career and led the American League in ERA in 1933. Harder wore this cap while he was an equally successful pitching coach for the Indians during the 1954-57 seasons. This hat shows heavy wear and the brim bares his number written in black ink. Great relic from this iconic pitching coach!!! Loa from expert Dave Miedema accompanies this lot.
