In 1980 the Kansas City Royals finally figured out how to get past the New York Yankees and faced off against the Philadelphia Phillies in the organizations first World Series. The young franchise was competitive losing the series 4-2 with all but one game being decided by 2 runs or less.This bat was brandished by Catcher John Wathan during the 1980 season. The bat shows nice use and is autographed by the team in black ink. One of the tougher modern era team signed items to find this one is sharp sporting 22 signatures. Signatures include George Brett,Steve Busby, Hal McRae, Frank White,Clint Hurdle, and Willie Wilson. PSA Authentication accompanies this lot.
