Often in the wrong spot at the wrong time DeBerg lost starting jobs to the following draft picks during his tenure Joe Montana, John Elway, Steve Young, and Vinny Testaverde. What DeBerg's career needed was an opportunity with a team who had no young stud in the stable nor an ability to Draft one. Enter the Kansas City Chiefs.
