John Wathan enjoyed a 10 year playing career all with the Kansas City Royals. Wathan collected 656 hits with 21 Homers and 261 Rbi's during his time with the Royals and was a member of the 1985 World Series Championship team. Following his playing career Wathan Managed the Royals for 5 seasons producing 2 winning seasons. This jersey dates to Wathan's time as a Manager dating to either the 1990 or 1991 season. The jersey is made by Rawlings and shows light use. The lack of a year tag leaves open the possibility to have been used during the 1990 season or early in 1991 before Wathan was relieved of his duties following a 15-22 start.
