Legendary Kansas guard Darnell Valentine wore this jersey and shorts while playing in the NBA with the Cleveland Caviliers. A Kansas native from Wichita Valentine succeeded his brilliant prep career with an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Kansas. Valentine was the 1st basketball player in Big 8 history to be named 1st team All-Conference 4 times. Valentine led KU to 2 NCAA tournament appearances and was named to the 1980 Olympic team. KU fittingly retired his jersey in 2005 . Drafted with the 16th pick of the 1981 NBA draft by the Portland Trailblazers Valentine enjoyed a 10 year career in the league. Valentine averaged 8.7 ppg and 5.0 apg during his career which included stints with the L.A. Clippers and Cleveland Caviliers following his 4 1/2 years with Portland. Valentine appeared in 77 games off the bench as well as 5 playoff games while sporting this uniform during the 1988-89 season with the Cavs. Uniform shows nice wear and displays wonderfully.
