Dwight Gooden pitched 16 seasons in the majors compiling 2,293 strikeouts along the way. Gooden won the 1985 CY Young while with the Mets and helped lead the Mets to the 1986 World Series Championship. This gamer dates to the 1985-86 seasons, shows moderate use, and is uncracked. The knob has the number 33 which appears to have been written over another unknown number. Gooden's player number was 16 so the bat was used by either Bill Latham (1985) or Barry Lyons (1986) in addition to what we believe was use by Gooden. However since the number below the 33 is no longer legible it's impossible to say for sure. Regardless it remains an attractive bat dating to either Gooden's CY Young season or the N.Y. Mets Championship season. Very nice bat!
