Clint Hurdle enjoyed a 10 year career in the majors suiting up for the Kansas City Royals (1977-1981), Cincinnati Reds (1982), New York Mets (1983,85,& 87), and St.Louis Cardinals (1986). Hurdle enjoyed his finest season in 1980 while a member of the A.L. Champion Kansas City Royals. Hurdle hit 10 Homers while driving in 60 and maintaining a .294 batting average during the 1980 season. Hurdle went on to hit .417 over 4 games in the World Series the same year. Following his playing career Hurdle went on the a successful career as a manager manning the helm for the Colorado Rockies (2002-09) and Pittsburgh Pirates (2011-Present). Hurdle led the Rockies to the 2007 N.L. Pennant and was named Manager of the year following the 2013 season while leading the Pirates to there 1st playoff birth since 1992. This bat hails from Hurdle's days with the Kansas City Royals. The bat shows light use and the knob bares Hurdle's number 10 in black marker. Hurdle has also signed the back barrel of the bat in blue ink pen. Sharp bat from one of the games great managers!!! PSA 1/2 letter accompanies this bat.
