1956 saw the Kansas City A's finish the season in the cellar of the American League despite having a nice infusion of young talent and proven veterans. 39 signatures grace this Art Dittmer gamer that has been carefully sawed in half to make it easier to display. Signatures include Lou Boudreau, Harry Simpson, Gus Zernial, Vic Power, Clete Boyer, Bobby Shantz, and others. In addition to a very complete collection of player signatures the bat has also been signed by several club employees including local radio announcer Merle Harmon.
