Alex Kellner took the mound for 11 seasons in the bigs suiting up for the Philadelphia/Kansas City A's (1948-58), Cincinnati Reds (1958), and St.Louis Cardinals (1959). Kellner compiled a life-time record of 101-112. Kellner won 20 Games in 1949 and received an All-Star nomination. Kellner was the 1955 Kansas City A's Opening Day starter pitching the A's to their first win in Kansas City. A solid hitter for a pitcher, Kellner collected 138 hits, 4 Homers, and 57 RBI's during his career. This bat shows heavy use with checking from ball contact on back barrel. The bat does have a handle crack as well as chips on the knob. Still a nice bat from a tough to find pitcher. PSA Letter accompanies bat.
