May 11th 1963 saw Kansas City A's pitcher Ted Bowsfield pitch 8 innings of no-hit baseball before surrendering a single to centerfield by Minnesota Twins 1st baseman Vic Power in the bottom of the 9th. Bowsfield would end the day having surrendered 2 hits and claiming a 5-1 complete game victory. Bowsfield has marked the ball in red with his name as well the date and that he lost the NO-Hitter in the 9th with this ball. Also noted on the side panel is the fact that Vic Power got the hit. The opposite side panel has been autographed by Power as well as Bowsfields catcher that day Haywood Sullivan. Great relic from a near No-No!!! PSA letter accompanies this lot
