Jason Vargas has pitched 11 seasons in the show and was signed by the Kansas City Royals prior to the 2014 season. Vargas provided a quality starter for the 2014 A.L. Champions posting a 11-10 record with a 3.71 ERA. Vargas started 3 playoff/world series games for Kansas City and posted a 1-0 record with a 3.52 ERA over 15.1 innings. Vargas started the 2015 season in the Royals rotation but Tommy John surgery derailed his season in July. Vargas made a full recovery and returned to the Royals in September of 2016 making 3 appearances. This warm-up jersey dates to the 2016 season and shows light use.
