During his 10-year major league baseball career, Jackie Robinson won the inaugural Rookie of the Year Award in 1947, was an All-Star for six consecutive seasons from 1949 through 1954, and won the National League Most Valuable Player award in 1949; the first black player so honored. Robinson played in six World Series and contributed to the Dodgers 1955 World Series Championship. Robinson has added his signature to this 1952 Topps #312 (High Series) baseball card. The card on its own merit is highly desirable but as a seldom seen signed example...Wow! This example does have some condition issues such as fading and vintage tape that remains on the reverse of the card. However, the tape isn't visible from the front view of the card, and despite some obvious loss of color to the actual card, the Robinson signature remains bright and bold. An extremely tough signed example of which you will probably not see another offered for quite some time! JSA Authenticated
