An inaugural member of the 1st Hall Of Fame Class Mathewson is perhaps the finest pitcher to ever toe the rubber. Mathewson amassed 373 wins during his career including a post 1900 single season record of 37!!! Mathewson passed away in 1925 at the age of 45 adding a considerable degree of rarity to the already heavily mounting degree of desirability. Mathewson has penned this check in his elegant long flowing stunning penmanship making it a must have for any collection!!! The reverse of the check shows debris from being attached or mounted on some sort of cloth background at some point. That being said this rare example still displays wonderfully and has been encapsulated and deemed authentic by industry leader PSA. Mathewson autograph examples are rarely seen don't let this one get away!!!
