"The Iron Man" played 21 seasons in the majors all with the Baltimore Orioles. Ripken picked up 3,000 + hits to go with 2 A.L. MVP awards. Ripken is of course best known for breaking Lou Gehrigs consecutive games played streak setting the new mark at 2,632 games. This base comes from Cal Ripken Jr. farewell tour dating from his last appearance in Kauffman Stadium. The base has the Royals emblem, MLB emblem, and Ripken's number 8. The base shows lots of use and has been signed by Ripken in black ink. Fantastic relic from one of the games best!!!
