Davis was a standout linebacker at the University of Kansas starting 3 years for the Jayhawks. Although Davis went undrafted he was still able to parlay his sure tackling into an 11 year NFL career. The 2000 season saw Tampa finish with a 10-6 record and a Wild Card berth. Davis played in all 16 games for the Bucs that season posting 7 tackles.
