One of the games great sluggers Harmon Killebrew played 22 seasons in the majors suiting up for the Washington Senators (1954-1960), Minnesota Twins (1961-74), and Kansas City Royals (1975). Killebrew hit 573 Homers over the course of his career good for 11th all-time. A 13x All-Star Killebrew was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1984. This gamer dates to the 1959 season Killebrew's first full season. Killebrew would finish the season with 42 homers the 1st of 8 seasons which saw Killebrew hit 40 or more Homers. Pre 1960 Killebrew gamers are exceedingly rare and this particular example is un-cracked and shows great use. Most likely gifted to a young fan by Killebrew the bat does show 4 ball marks thought to come from the sandlots ( What kid wouldn't want to take a couple hacks with there heroes weapon of choice!!!). The four white marks minimally affect the appearance of the bat and could be easily removed if the winning bidder so desired. A faded but still visible number 3 appears on the knob. Fantastic early career gamer from one of the games true legends!!! Full PSA letter accompanies this bat.
