Don Larsen's name will forever be linked to the Fall Classic thanks in large part to the Perfect Game that he pitched on October 8th 1956. Larson remains the sole player to ever accomplish this feat in the World Series. This bat hails from 1959-60 time period Larson's last with New York and first year in Kansas City. The bat shows great use including deep ball marks and raised grain from repeated contact. The knob has a chip and a blue ring has been painted post factory on the upper handle. The number 3 is written on the knob meaning that Larson either wrote Babe Ruth's retired number 3 in New York to designate his bat or that the bat was used by Marv Throneberry in addition to Larson during the 1960 season. Regardless of some of the unanswered questions pertaining to this bat it remains a tough to find example from a World Series legend. PSA letter accompanies this lot.
