Fantastic ball from the 1944 A.L. Champion St. Louis Browns. An unlikely pennant winner the usual bottom dwelling Browns started the 1944 season with 9 straight wins and never looked back posting a 89-65 record and capturing the American League flag. This brilliantly white Giles ball has been signed by 18 members of the Browns in blue ink. Signatures include Sig Jakucki and Jack Kramer,(SS), Don Gutteridge, Mike Kreevich, Mike Byrnes, Red Hayworth, Ellis Clary, Gene Moore, Nelson Potter, Danny Galehouse, Zack Taylor, Mark Christman, Tex Shirley, Chet Laabs, and Al Zarilla. Charles DeWitt traveling secretary for the Browns has also signed this ball. Great ball from the Browns lone pennant!!! PSA letter accompanies this lot.
